Fortune Days

50 seconds down, 45 to go.

Music video progress...It looks like I'm going to have to go back and re-motion track some of the early stuff. Which is going to be a pain. Some of these clips make me want to punch myself with how shaky they are, though.

Promax BDA thing

I think there's still a bit of tweaking I could do with this, as far as matching up to the music a bit more and some compositing, so I'll probably go ahead and do that later for portfolio. Sent this sucker in though...We'll see what happens.

We'll probably make a longer, more informational one, too.

48 Hr Repack: Kirk's Bar Soap

I think Amy has some pics of the crazy last night around 3 or 4am... but here's the end product:

Design and voiceover by Amy, HAND SEWN BAGS and inital idea by Sims, and video by me.

Bar soap packaging has become overly wasteful. Some brands have up to three or four layers of extra wrappers and packaging that is just thrown away after opening. Additionally, bar soap is almost never fully used: the last 15-20% becomes messy and easily breakable, and is often wastefully thrown away.

Kirk's hypoallergenic, all natural coconut oil soap is made without synthetic detergents or animal by-products. We chose to repackage this brand of bar soap so the package reflects the sustainable, earth-friendly product inside. By encasing Kirk's soap in muslin or hemp pouches, we eliminate the need for washcloths or loofahs. Leaving the soap in the pouch during use keeps the soap together even if it breaks, and the pouch also allows a consumer to combine and collect small soap scraps that would normally be discarded. The pouch can be reused for future soap purchases, continuing elimination of loofahs and washcloths. This package is environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and reusable.

Touch the Earth

Just a quickie. I'm going for a vintage, travel, WPA-inspired look. Maybe throw an emblem on there...who knows. This would be used on a blog, brochures, posters, etc. I'm going to see if I can make a smaller, simpler one for maybe stenciling on rental equipment or something.

Also a screen from my music video:

Masking out that skyline is being a bitch.

So this just happened:

Yeah, that's pasta. I don;t know, wine and Italian food? It seemed like a good idea at the time.

And some rearranging via chance:

Putting it back together took me like 45 minutes. I'm really bad at puzzles, I guess.

More pattern-y stuff:
